POPIA Compliance

LookNoFurther.co.za processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA"). This page summarises our compliance approach. For full detail on what we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy.

Information Officer

As required by POPIA, LookNoFurther.co.za has designated an Information Officer responsible for ensuring compliance with the Act and for handling requests relating to personal information.

The eight conditions for lawful processing

POPIA sets out eight conditions that we design our systems and processes around:

1. Accountability — we take responsibility for complying with these conditions across our business.
2. Processing limitation — we only collect the personal information we actually need, and only process it lawfully, with your knowledge or consent.
3. Purpose specification — we collect information for specific, clearly explained purposes, and don't repurpose it without a valid basis.
4. Further processing limitation — we don't use information for a new purpose incompatible with why it was originally collected.
5. Information quality — we take reasonable steps to keep the information we hold accurate, complete, and up to date.
6. Openness — we tell you what we collect and why, through this page and our Privacy Policy.
7. Security safeguards — we implement technical and organisational measures (encryption, access controls, secure payment processing) to protect your information.
8. Data subject participation — you can ask us what information we hold about you, request corrections, or ask us to delete it, subject to any legal requirement to retain it.

Your rights as a data subject

You have the right to:

• Be told what personal information of yours is being collected, and why
• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request that we correct or delete inaccurate, outdated, or unlawfully held information
• Object to certain processing of your information
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on your consent
• Complain to the Information Regulator if you believe we have not complied with POPIA

How to submit a request

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, email info_officer@looknofurther.co.za with your request and enough detail for us to verify your identity (e.g. your account email address). We will respond within a reasonable time.
