LookNoFurther.co.za ("LookNoFurther", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly, lawfully, and transparently. This Privacy Policy is published in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA") and explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have in relation to it.

By using our website (looknofurther.co.za) or placing an order with us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

The Triangle Corporation (Pty) Ltd is the "responsible party" (as defined in POPIA) for the personal information described in this Policy.

2. Information we collect

We collect personal information that you provide to us directly, and some information generated automatically through your use of our site.

Information you give us

Account details: name, email address, phone number, password (stored in encrypted/hashed form)
Delivery and billing addresses
Order history and the contents of your cart
Two-factor authentication setup information, where you choose to enable it
Correspondence you send us (e.g. support requests, return requests)
Banking details you provide specifically for the purpose of processing a refund, where your payment method cannot be refunded automatically through the original payment gateway
Product reviews, ratings, and questions you submit, including any photos you choose to include with them

By submitting a review, rating, question, or answer — including any photos you attach — you agree that this content may be displayed publicly on the Site, together with your display name, for other shoppers to see. You can request removal of your own review content at any time by contacting us (see clause 8, your rights).

Information collected automatically

Technical information such as IP address, browser type, and device information
Usage information such as pages visited and the products you view, via cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy)

Information from third parties

We receive limited information from the payment gateways you choose to pay with (PayFast, Ozow, or Paystack) confirming whether your payment succeeded, and from our courier partners confirming delivery status. We do not receive your full card or bank login details from these providers — that information is submitted directly to them, not to us.

3. Why we process your information

Consistent with POPIA's processing limitation and purpose specification conditions, we only collect information for specific, clearly defined purposes:

To create and manage your account
To process, fulfil, and deliver your orders, including sharing your delivery address and contact details with our courier partners
To process payments through your chosen payment gateway
To process returns, refunds, and buy-back requests
To communicate with you about your orders, account, or support queries
To detect and prevent fraud, and to keep our platform secure
To comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including tax and consumer protection law
To improve our website and product range, using aggregated or anonymised data where possible

Providing your name, delivery address, and contact details is necessary for us to fulfil an order. Without it, we cannot deliver your purchase to you. Providing other information (such as opting into two-factor authentication) is voluntary.

4. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary to operate our business, and only to the extent required:

Payment gateways — PayFast, Ozow, and Paystack, to process your payment
Courier partners — To deliver your order, which requires sharing your name, contact number, and delivery address
Image and infrastructure hosting providers — for product images and website hosting
Email service providers — to send you order confirmations and account-related emails
Regulators or law enforcement — where required by law

We do not share your personal information with vendors.LookNoFurther operates as a marketplace, and some products are sold by independent third-party vendors rather than LookNoFurther directly. However, regardless of who supplies a product, vendors do not receive your name, contact details, or delivery address. Vendors fulfil orders by sending stock into our own warehouse network, or in limited cases by handing goods directly to one of our courier partners using a waybill and label that we generate ourselves. Vendors never see your personal information as part of that process.

Each of these third parties is only given the information necessary for them to perform their specific function, and is required to handle it securely.

5. Cross-border transfers

Some of our service providers (such as cloud hosting and infrastructure providers) may process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient is subject to a law, binding agreement, or corporate rules that provide a comparable level of protection to POPIA, in accordance with section 72 of POPIA.

6. How long we keep your information

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, including for as long as your account remains active, and thereafter for as long as required to comply with our legal obligations (including tax and financial recordkeeping requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it.

7. Security safeguards

In line with POPIA's security safeguards condition, we implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access, interference, or disclosure. These include encrypted password storage, encrypted transmission of data (HTTPS), restricted administrative access, and secure processing of payments directly through our payment gateway partners rather than storing your full card details ourselves.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and while we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Under POPIA, you have the right to:

Be notified that your personal information is being collected and for what purpose
Request access to the personal information we hold about you
Request correction or deletion of your personal information where it is inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or was collected unlawfully
Object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances
Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent, at any time
Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator if you believe your rights under POPIA have been infringed

9. Children's information

Our website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a parent or guardian, as required by POPIA.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and encourage you to review it periodically.
